At the latest Rally of Sibiu, Simone Tempestini and Sergiu Itu had a difficult start, losing over a minute in the first two special stages due to two flat tires. These incidents seemed to diminish their chances of winning the rally, but they showed a remarkable ability to adapt and make up for lost time, managing to win all the other special stages and take the final victory with a lead of one minute over the place two. A victory that not only strengthened their position in the general ranking, but also emphasized their ability to perform under pressure and to demonstrate the team’s mental resilience and fighting spirit.

This important victory brought Simone Tempestini very close to winning the ninth national title in Romania. Currently, Simone is tied with Titi Aur, each having won eight titles, thus consolidating his status as a record holder in the history of motorsport in Romania. His constant performances and his exceptional skills have positioned him as one of the best drivers in the country.

In April of this year, Simone Tempestini wrote history by becoming the first Romanian pilot to win, overall, a stage of the European Championship. His victory in the stage held in Hungary was a remarkable achievement, demonstrating his talent and competence at an international level. This performance emphasized not only his individual mastery, but also the competitiveness of Romanian motorsport on the European stage.

After a week’s break, Simone and his team will head to Italy for the Rome Rally, the fifth stage of the European Championship. This competition is essential for their international goals. Immediately after this event, in the first week of August, Tempestini will compete in the Moldavian Rally, held in Bacau, as part of the national championship.
